Day 1 | Arrival to Saint-Jean-Pied-de-Port
Ideally located in the old town at the foot of the ramparts and easily accessible, the 16 rooms completely renovated and carefully decorated ensure comfort.
Day 2 | Walk Roncesvalles - 25 km, 7-8 hrs
This restored Medieval hospital is situated next to the Roncesvalles Monastery, an important point after the Pyrenees crossing. Hotel Roncesvalles combines original stone walls and wooden ceilings with elegant, modern décor.
Day 3 | Walk to Akeretta - 28 km, 8 hrs
Hotel Akerreta is a small family-run charming country hotel. The farmhouse called Sastrearena, a typical Basque caserio of the Pyrenees, was built in 1723. It has been catalogued by the institute for the preservation of the local patrimony “Principe de Viana” for its historical and architectural interest. The stone-wall house still conserves its original Pyrenees-style kitchen and its bread oven. The enormous oak wood beams, webbed to create the structure of the house, reveal the historical power of the homestead. It combines perfectly rustic taste with modern amenities. The hotel also has several living rooms and cozy spots where guests can read in calm surroundings while enjoying the valley´s panoramic views of mountains and meadows. In the winter guests can chat next to the fireplace; or sit on the terrace or recline on a lounge chair in the garden during the summer.
Day 4 | Walk to Pamplona - 14 km, 3-4 hrs
The hotel is located in the peaceful street “Calle Nueva” in Pamplona, in the O,d Town, just a stone's throw from the Town Hall, the Plaza del Castillo square and Calle Estafeta, emblematic places in the city, which are famous throughout the world thanks to the San Fermín celebrations. Following the extensive remodelling work completed in early 2013, the hotel has been awarded 4 stars. It now has new facilities, offering all the services our guests might need.
Day 5 | Walk to Puente la Reina - 19 km, 5 hrs
Puente la Reina
This 12th-century tower is located in the mediaeval walled town of Puente la Reina, in Navarra. Now a family-run hotel, it offers charming, country-style rooms that combine traditional stone walls with modern touches.
Day 6 | Walk to Estella - 19 km, 5 hrs
Located right in the Old Town next to St MIchael church, this 4-star hotel is housed in an old stone building from the XVIIth century
Day 7 | Walk to Los Arcos - 21 km, 5-6 hrs
Small family-run hotel in the centre of the town.
Day 8 | Walk to Viana - 18 km, 5 hrs
Located within the historic centre of the city of Viana, at the foot of the Santiago pilgrim route in the historical part of Viana (Navarre). It combines the historical building charm of the 16 th century and the comfort of a modern hotel establishment.
Days 9 + 10 | Walk to Logroño - 10 km, 3 hrs + Departure Day
Rolfs is a family-run business established in 1979 by the Haffner family. Originally an old farmhouse, with a courtyard surrounded by traditional stone build outhouses and set in 4.5 acres of mature grounds and gardens. The buildings, dating back several hundred years have been carefully restored and renovated in its original style and character, providing beautiful Bedrooms, Holiday Cottages and an award winning à la carte Restaurant and Wine Bar.
