Day 1 | Muckross lake circuit | Distance 21 km


Arrive in Killarney and check into your B&B. A company representative will meet you at an agreed time at your accommodation to ensure your bikes are fitted correctly and talk through the tour and days ahead as well as your Information Pack, Route Description and maps. If you have time take the short circular cycle to Killarney National Park where you have the chance to see both the 15th Century Muckross Abbey and the 19th Century Muckross house with its wonderful Gardens. Taking time to enjoy this iconic landscape as you cycle around Muckross lake one of the famous 3 lakes of Killarney. Following your cycle return to Killarney to enjoy this vibrant town for your first overnight stop.

Day 2 | Molls Gap to Killarney via The Gap of Dunloe | Distance 44 km

Today’s Adventure begins with a short transfer to the local viewing point known as Ladies view called after Queen Victoria’s ladies in waiting who proclaimed it to be the best view they had ever seen when they visitied in 1861. From here you will begin your cycle into the remote Black Valley. Passing the 19th century hunting lodge know as Lord Brandons cottage you continue through this fasciating landscape. Now it’s time to conquer the Gap of Dunloe! With a little climbing to do but your reward is an experience like no other weaving your way through this jagged landscape of vertical Glaciated valleys and glistening mountain lakes. When you finish your cycle through the “Gap” you may take time again for a coffee as a reward for you efforts or maybe something stronger. You finish you day’s adventure with a gentle cycle through Killarney National Park and back to your accommodation in Killarney for your overnight.

Day 3 | Killarney to Glenbeigh | Distance 47 km

Leaving Killarney you cycle west under the foothills of Ireland’s highest mountain, Carrantuohill. This route takes you through the Heart of County Kerry with stunning vistas all around as you pass the beautiful Caragh Lake before heading to the picturesque village of Glenbeigh where you will overnight.

Day 4 |Inch Beach to Dingle | Distance 35.5 km


Today begins with a transfer to the picturesque Inch beach where you can enjoy a walk or maybe an early morning coffee before you begin your days cycling. You days route is a beautiful meandering route through the local farmlands passing the remains of the 16th century Minard Castle. With constant views of the Atlantic Ocean across Dingle Bay this cycle is the prefect introduction to one of Ireland’s most dramatic landscapes. Your day finishes in the town of Dingle where you can enjoy one of the world famous pubs for a well-earned drink and some delicious local seafood. .

Day 5 | Dingle circular route | Distance 41km


Heading west from Dingle you cycle via Ventry to Slea Head with its magnificent breathtaking views across the Blasket Sound to the famous Blasket Island. From here you cycle on to Dunquinn with the option to visit the Blasket Islands Interpretive centre where you can learn the rich history of this group of offshore islands and try your hand at learning our native language. As you begin your homeward leg of the cycle you will pass the iconic ancient stone building of the Gallarus Oratory this beautiful building which was once used as a place of worship over 1500 years ago is a must see on your journey. You will complete you cycle in Dingle with the opportunity to tour the Dingle Micro Distillery where Dingle Whiskey, Gin and Vodka are produced. This tour is a great introduction to the Distilling process as well as the history of Distilling through the ages. Overnight in Dingle.

Day 6 | Dingle circular route | Distance 41km

Today you cycle north from Dingle through the village of Ballydavid and on to Brandon Creek. Named after Irelands Patron Saint of travel St Brendan the Navigator who set out in the 6th Century on his voyage to the promised land of North America which after an epic voyage he found long before Columbus ever thought about the voyage. This fantastic route takes you under the regions highest mountain also named after St Brendan. With a visit to Bally David pier where you can enjoy some refreshments in the local pub before completing you cycle back in Dingle for you final overnight in the wonderful town. .

- The region has mild temperatures year round; and rain can happen any time. Guests are advised to bring a rain jacket and be prepared to ride in all weather conditions. Keep in mind, green fields, stunning coastal views, rainbows, and warm and welcoming inns will make you fall in love with Ireland and Irish hospitality!

Duration: 7 days / 6 nights
Dates: Any dates possible - subject to lodging availability. About the weather: the region has mild temperatures year round; and rain can happen any time; riders need to travel prepared to ride in wet conditions. While rain is possible, green fields, rainbows, and welcoming inns will make you fall in love with Ireland and Irish hospitality. A pint at the end of a very rewarding ride will cap a fantastic day on the bike - even in the rain!
Level 3Fit - regular cyclists. The rolling and sometimes short steep hills combined with moderate distance rides make this tour a moderate trip but with good fitness required. Weather is a factor and participants need to plan to ride in wet weather; rides will not be cancelled for rain or cold. Average riding days of 40-45 km; This is a self guided tour. Participants are on their own for meals other than breakfast; and are free to ride on their own and at their own pace. We have several suggestions each day for meals and nice lunch stops on the riding itinerary for you to enjoy the local culture - at your speed!
