Day 1 | Arrival in Geneva
Above all, Jade hotel is a story – the tale of two Chinese Feng Shui Masters who came to Geneva and decorated the hotel according to the principles of this ancient Chinese practice. From the rooms to the breakfast bar, it is all about harmony and the balance of energies. A refreshing experience, as soothing as it is revitalizing.
Day 2 | Geneva to Lausanne (71 km +656m)
A quiet hotel with a wonderful view over Lake Geneva and the Alps (60% of the rooms). This Lausanne's hotel offers a warm and family atmosphere, equally appreciated by business women and men, as well as by "holidayers or travellers" going into the city. Its comfortable lifestyle and cultural riches make Lausanne and its area a privileged resting spot.
Day 3 | Lausanne to Gruyères (65 km +1035m*)
At the foot of the Pre-Alps, the medieval town of Gruyeres will seduce you with its charming atmosphere and its beautiful architecture. The city gave its name to the region and its tasty cheese. Discover a city, within sumptuous surroundings, that has been spared by time. Located at the Ruelle des Chevaliers (Knights street), shortly before the town’s entrance, the Hôtel de Gruyères – formerly known at the Knight’s Inn – is easily accessible and provides a fantastic view of the medieval town and Mount Moléson. It counts 37 simple or double rooms and can accommodate up to 82 people. Each room has a warm and rustic décor. It is particularly quiet and provides an amazing view of the mountains. From the balconies, one may even catch does or a deer with imposing woods, grazing in the green enclosed pastures. An excellent relaxation and vacation destination, the Gruyere region welcomes many visitors each year. Sports and cultural excursions as well as walks in the valley or the mountains are some of the main attractions.
Day 4 | Gruyères to Gstaad (42km +690m or 65km +1315m)
The charming chalet-style Alphorn hotel in Gstaad, close to the cable cars to the Wispile and Eggli ski areas, offers you cosy, rustic rooms and tasty cuisine. Enjoy culinary pleasures in the inviting "Möschgstube" or on the grand sun terrace, providing superb views to the ski slope, and spend peaceful nights in snug rooms. There is a small wellness area with a sauna, a steam bath, a whirlpool, a solarium, a hairdresser and a beauty salon on site. Within an 8-minute walk you can reach the pedestrianized city centre. The sports centre and the Menuhin marquee are 2,650feet away and a golf course is 5.6miles away.
Day 5 | Gstaad to Montreux (77 km +1285m*)
The Hotel Helvetie is a witness of the development of tourism in Montreux. Opened in 1865, it was first named Hotel-Pension de Russie, and hosted the many customers who came from the North, looking for a warmer climate during the cold season. After the Russian revolution, the hotel is named successively Hotel de Paris, then Hotel Helvetie. The hotel still holds nowadays all the elements of the original façade. In front of the Casino and 200 meters away from the lake, the hotel is located in the heart of Montreux. It is an ideal start to the main touristical attractions of the region: among many others, the promenade by the lake, the Chillon Castle, the Rochers-de-Naye peaks, the cruises on the lake and the Jazz Festival in July.
