Day 2 Dijon - Vosne Romanée (30 km)

Today starts with a real culinary delight! You'll accompany your host for the morning, a talented local chef, to the market (Les Halles) to select your fresh ingredients for the cooking lesson to come. Dijon's covered market hall is a true foodie heaven with rows of stalls showcasing cheeses, meats, breads, pastries, vegetables, and more. Just don't fill up on too many tastings and samples before your lesson! The chef will guide you through traditional French cooking techniques that will expand your culinary repertoire and enhance your homemade meals for years to come. Next you'll hop on your bike for a leisurely ride through nearby vineyards toward the village of Vosnes Romanée in the heart of Burgundy wine country. Along the way, you'll take a break to visit Château du Clos Vougeot, a wine farm originally built by monks in the 12th century, before settling in to enjoy the views from your four-star hotel on a grand vineyard estate.

Day 3 Vosne Romanée loop (33 km)

Today you'll take a leisurely loop ride through the vineyards from your hotel. A wine tasting awaits you at the family-run Domaine of Côte de Nuit, where you'll savor the product of the pinot noir grapes this part of Burgundy is known for. Your next stop is at the cheese factory Gaugry in Brochon, a fromagerie run by generations of the Gaugry family producing traditional Burgundian cheeses that are the perfect complement to the region's wines. After a tasting of their savory products, you'll make a leisurely return ride to spend your second night in beautiful Hotel Richebourg.

Day 4 Vosne Romanée – Beaune (30km)

Today begins with a gentle ride through classic French landscapes as you make your way to Beaune. You'll visit the Château Aloxe Corton, famous for its unique colored roof. (Legend says that Emperor Charlemagne originally granted the land in the year 775 and a vineyard was started at that time.) Once again, you'll expand your knowledge of French varietals while you enjoy a tasting of local wines. In Beaune, you'll visit the mustard factory and museum of Maison Fallot. Part of the region's foodie heritage for 200 years now, Fallot is the last independent and family-owned mustard mill in Burgundy and produces staple ingredients for the top chefs of France.

Day 5 Beaune Loop (30km ride or 5km hike)

Your day starts with a walking tour of the Patriarche cellar, which is composed of five kilometers of vaulted cellars dating back to the 13th century and holding millions of bottles! Next you'll head to the Hospices de Beaune to explore one of the finest examples of 15th century architecture. After lunch, you'll meet up with your bike once more to ride along the country roads of la Côte de Beaune region before stopping for a tasting in a family-run Domaine.
