This tour will appeal to guests who like to combine cycling with some other outdoor activity such as surfing, rock-climbing, kayaking or other multi-activies. The tour starts in the market town of Clifden, where you can go deep-sea fishing (extra). You then stay in Leenane where you are enjoying a day of walking on the Famine Trail along Killary Harbour. Alternatively book a multi-activity with Killary Adventure Centre. You then continue into the Delphi Valley where you will be staying in a beautiful Spa hotel adjacent to the Adventure Centre. A half-day activity is included for the afternoon. The tour finishes in Westport, a bustling market town and the second day here can be used to book surfing or kayaking.
We provide 24 speed hybrid bicycles, helmets, repair-kits, front handlebar panniers, waterbottles, back pannier bags as well as emergency break-down service.

Day 1 | Arrive in Clifden, easily reached by public bus from
Galway. Stay the next two nights in guesthouse (Seamist or Buttermilk), dinner at your own choosing in one of the
many restaurants. Plan on your personal introduction either this evening or in the morning of day 2 - we confirm in advance.
Possibility to upgrade to 3* or 4*hotel. Private transfer from Galway to Clifden is possible for a supplement of 120 euros. To reach Galway from Dublin flights or train possible.

Day 2 | There are several options today. A 25mile loop ride will bring you through Ballyconneely to Roundstone village where you can watch the artisans making the bodhrans, silver jewellery and pottery. Return to Clifden via a very scenic bog road. Then continue to take in the Sky Road (adds 10miles), with chance to walk to the ruin of Clifden Castle and John D'Arcy's monument. Alternatively book deep-sea fishing or horseback riding.

Day 3 | Leave Clifden to cycle to Leenane passing through the beautiful Lough Inagh Valley. Visit Kylemore

Day 4 | The taxi will collect you in the morning and take you to Rosroe at the tip of Killary Harbour. Start your walk along the Famine Trail, a trail built during the Great Famine as relief work, all along overlooking the fjord and the mountains all around. Alternatively: Visit Killary Adventure Centre and take part in one of their half-day activities (advance booking advised). Walking distance distance 12miles.

Day 5 | Today is a beautiful but relatively short cycle to Aasleagh Waterfalls and along the northern shore of Killary Harbour into the Delphi Valley. (distance 12miles ). After lunch head out to surf the Atlantic Waves (included ½ day activity at Delphi Adventure Centre). Stay the night in adjacent 4* spa hotel, dinner included.

Day 6 | Perhaps use the morning for a spa treatment. The cycle continues via the small town of Louisburgh to the shores of Clew Bay finishing in the bustling market town of Westport, where you will stay for the next two nights in guesthouse (The Boulevard or Plougastel). Along the way you will be passing a number of
sights such as the Famine Walk memorial, the National Famine monument, Murrisk Friary and last but not least Croagh Patrick Visitor Centre. The conical Croagh Patrick is Ireland's holy mountain and if you wish you can climb it along the pilgrim's path (allow 4 hours for the hike). From the top you enjoy most beautiful views of Clew Bay, and the mountains of Connemara to the south and the Mayo mountains to the north.

Day 7 | Another day to try your hand at an adventure activity. You will be collected from the guesthouse and enjoy a ½ day sea-kayaking experience. Should you wish to use the afternoon there would be a short cycle loop to the small village of Aghagower with its round tower. (cycling distance 16miles). Stay the last night in Westport and enjoy the traditional Irish music played in its pubs.

Day 8 | Breakfast, followed by farewell and departure for your onward journey (train to Dublin).
