General Tour Information

Duration: 7 days & 6 nights with an option to extend to 7 nights.

Dates 2012: Any date On request from March 30-Oct 31. HIGH season is April 1-8, June 15-September 15. This tour can start any day of the week.

Level 2 - Moderate - flat to rolling countryside with some unpaved, quiet routes. Note, on day 3 you will have a challenging hill to cross to reach the next hotel. This is the preferred route to busier and flatter routes. The hill goes up to 300 m in elevation from 0 at the coast over 15km. The real climbing starts at kilometer 9 to kilometer 14, rising from 75m to 300m. Then, all down hill to your hotel!

What's Included

6 nights 5 star lodging in suites as noted , buffet breakfast daily, 5 gastronomic multi course dinners, all luggage transfers, local Girona based emergency support, orientation and bike set up, departure transfers, road books with riding route maps and cue sheets, suggestions for visitation and lunching and info as well as discounts to sites to visit. Additional services and stays can be arranged separately. A complete pre-travel set of documents will be sent upon completion of final payment and we are available to help book other services in Spain prior to or after your cycling tour.

This is our most expensive tour and was made to be the BEST accommodations possible. The sites could not be better and the rooms are among the best in the entire hotel. Dinners are top - gastronomic affairs with multiple courses prepared by professional chef teams using the best ingredients from the region. Accommodation: all nights in deluxe 5 star hotels, in superior level rooms! This is a top quality and top value experience - bucket list material! However, if you would like to change room category to more standard type rooms, we can do so (note most category rooms are suites). Simply ask us to customize to your taste!

The riding is left intentionally shorter to give you time to relax and enjoy all the amenities offered at these places: beach, spa, pool, gardens, gastronomic dining, live music, etc.

Deluxe Hotel Tour; Price Per person based on double occupancy; 6 Nights :

High Season: 2495 Euros per person (high season: April 1-8, June 15-Sept 15)

Single supplement when 2 or more persons are traveling but in separate individual rooms:
Low Season: 987 euros
High Season: 1279 euros

Additional Night at La Placa, Night 7, with Tasting Menu and additional ride routes : 210 euros Per person

Bike Info

Bike rentals are available for all tours in Spain. Click on our Rental Page link to know more about the Hybrid model on this tour.

Trek Hybrids are available on this trip. Note: pedals are flat or with clips; if you bring your own clipless pedals and shoes we can install them. Note, the routes for the hybrids on this tour uses a good amount of unpaved roads. The bikes are perfectly adapted for these routes; which were chosen for the serenity they offer away from cars and traffic. Designated as bike paths, many cyclists use them; they are simply unpaved.

Hybrid Bike 95 euros: [Click for image] Trek 7200FX or 7300 hybrids, 24 speed, shimano groupo, suspension saddle, aluminum frame, rapid fire shift, 700x35 presta, 15kg loaded with rear rack and panniers, 2 bottle cages and bottles (male frame only); flat pedals unless clips requested in advance. Travelers can bring own clipless pedals to be installed. SPD possible for rent if requested in advance.
