Day 1 – Arrival Day Quebec City

Today is arrival day in Quebec City! Arriving by air to Quebec City airport (YQB) is the easiest way to get here. From the airport you can taxi to your centrally located hotel in the city. Your hotel is convenitently located so that you can enjoy and explore this charming city. Night in QC on your own; we will include suggestions for things to do and where to go.

We recommend a visit to the Vieux Quebec, (Old Quebec) where you can wander the ancient cobblestone streets of this UNESCO World Heritage Site, which is the only walled city north of Mexico. Inside its fortifications, charming cafes and antique shops rub elbows with historic attractions like the Citadel and the Notre-Dame Basilica. Enjoy a large selection of dining options tonight and tomorrow night in QC before going out into the small towns of the north. Quebec City's cuisine has strong (and delicious) French ties - to the Old France - such as hearty stews, meat pies, specialty chocolate shops, bakeries, crêperies and cafes that fill the streets. A popular local dish to try is poutine: French fries smothered in fresh cheese curds and topped with a savory hot gravy.
