DAY 1: TRANSFER TO HURRICANE, UT

7:00am – Meet your guides in the lobby of our Las Vegas host hotel. After a quick meet and greet, we’ll transfer to the town of Hurricane, Utah where we’ll dial in our bikes and set out for our first taste of the incredible JEM Trail network. After a trailside picnic lunch, we’ll head to our camp and enjoy our first night together under the stars surrounded by sandstone and limestone cliffs. DAY 2: HURRICANE RIM AND JEM TRAILS

Today’s ride offers up a bit of everything from intermediate technical trails on slick rock to sandy, flowing cross-country trails and everything in between. Ride along expansive ridges peering down to the Virgin River as you test your bike handling skills and learn some new tips and tricks along the way. We’ll spend a majority of the day riding with a fresh lunch and plenty of snacks to keep you feeling strong. With plenty of bailout spots to shorten the ride as well as options for more miles, there is no shortage of trails to find the best ride for your fitness and ability. • Distance: 24-25 miles • Meals: Breakfast, lunch, and dinner included • Lodging: AOA Basecamp

DAY 3: GOOSEBERRY MESA

Wake up to the smell of a hot breakfast as we prepare for day three of riding in mountain bike paradise. Today we’ll shuttle to the Gooseberry trail system located on a tabletop mesa known for its winding slickrock trails through Junipers and massive vistas. Now that you’ve had a couple of days to warm up to the trail surfaces and slick rock, you can hone your riding style and learn to flow on these fun, challenging trails. We’ll have plenty of time to stay and play and soak up the views before returning to camp. • Distance: 13-14 miles (options for more mileage) • Meals: Breakfast, lunch and dinner included • Lodging: AOA Basecamp

DAY 4: GUACAMOLE TRAIL AND RETURN TO LAS VEGAS, NV

Our last day of riding brings us to the Guacamole trail system. Located on the western border of Zion National Park, it features great views of Zion and similar style trails to Gooseberry. This less-traveled trail network will have you feeling like you’re on a rollercoaster with plenty of ups and downs and twists and turns. After a picnic lunch, we’ll pack up and begin our journey back to Las Vegas. • Distance: 9-10 miles • Meals: Breakfast and lunch included • Lodging: On own

Southern Utah offers world-class trails combined with expansive vistas that make it a perfect mountain biking get-away. Our 4-day, 3-night camping-based trip offers comfortable basecamp amenities, delicious guide-prepared meals, and guide-led rides that all add up to an unforgettable experience.

The camp is surrounded by towering sandstone and limestone cliffs nestled along the Virgin River. Located near a number of national parks such as Zion National Park, Bryce Canyon National Park, and the Grand Canyon North Rim, you can easily extend your vacation to other popular Southwest destinations.
We can rent spacious nylon tents with a full-coverage rain fly for rental. Each tent is designed for and can accommodate 4 people, although we recommend using it for just one or two people to allow for extra space for gear and personal items. We can also rent thick, inflatable sleeping pads, sleeping bags, daypacks, trekking poles, bikes, and more! The kitchen is fully equipped to allow our guides to prepare healthy, fresh meals. Guests will be provided with all dishware and utensils needed for meals.

WHERE TO MEET:
START: 7:00am. Meet your guide in the lobby of the Hyatt Place in Las Vegas. Or meet in St. George at 10:30am (inquire for details).
END: Drop-off at Hyatt Place in Las Vegas on Day 5 (usually between 3:00pm and 6:00pm)
Dates: 2018 Dates: April 12-15, April 26-29, May 3-6, May 24-27, June 7-10, August 30-September 2, September 20-24, October 4-7, October 18-21, November 8-11. Level 3-4 - This trip is a mix of slick rock, mostly single track, a little bit of double track with some technical skills required. This is not a trip for beginners, however riders of intermediate fitness and good bike handling skills will be comfortable.

Helmets and repair kits are included in every rental.

When you rent: Upon meeting your guide at the start of the trip your bike will be ready to ride including a spare tube, CO2 cartridge, CO2 inflator, tire lever, and multi-tool. You will only be responsible for bringing your pedals, shoes, and any other personal cycling equipment (GPS computer, saddle, etc.). Helmets are required on our trips, and you are welcome to bring your own, however, we can provide one for you upon request if needed.
You may also send us your measurements for the bike to be set up by our professional mechanics. If you do not know your measurements we’ll spend some time before our first ride getting your bike dialed in to ensure it’s comfortable and properly fitted to you.
Would you like to bring your own bike? You are welcome to do so; and if you wanted to ship it ahead of time or need help building up your bike, we do offer a service to assist you with you own bike and we do have some policies around what we can accommodate. Navigation: Throughout your cycling trip there may be periods of time where you or a small group will be short distances from other guests or guides. To ensure you follow the correct route, we will provide a mobile app that can be downloaded onto your smartphone with the routes pre-loaded for you to follow. Your guide will also have hard copies of maps and cue sheets to pass out if needed, and will keep you grouped up at important trail intersections. We do not provide any GPS devices or mounting hardware. If you would like to mount your phone to your bike we recommend checking out the Quad Lock mounting system, or you can keep it in your jersey pocket.
