Day 1 | Arrival day in Palma (77km)

The travel begins from Palma, it gives you the opportunity to discover the most attractive places and monuments of the island of Mallorca’s capital city riding along long stretches of dedicated cycle lanes, streets and squares in the historic city centre. Along secondary roads you will arrive to Campanet, is a small municipal town that enjoys its own quiet existence away from the highly charged regions found elsewhere on Mallorca. Campanet is a perfect base for cyclists with plenty restaurants and bike shops, all located in sight of the mountains, but far enough away to ensure you are well warmed up before the roads start ramping up into the foothills. Situated in the northeast of the island, it is an attractive town set on an expansive bay and outside the main holiday season retains a low key, local feel.

The town, Pollença, is a hub for cyclists, particularly popular with the British - Sir Bradley Wiggins has an apartment on the seafront - and is a good starting point to ease yourself into a long day in the mountains or to explore the flatter hinterland. It will be a good day to go out to Cap de Formentor, the thin and rocky peninsula that forms the north side of the Badía de Pollença, and ends at the extreme northeast tip of the island of Mallorca. You will ride untill the lighthouse at the tip of the peninsula, enjoying the spectacular scenery along the way back to an exclusive thirteenth century Majorcan luxury country Hotel where tranquility and elegance prevail in the foothills of the Sierra de Tramuntana with the finest in accommodation “Michelin Guide”.

Day 3 | Loop Campanet-Formentor (65km)

Ready for a challenging day of biking? Much of today’s breathtaking hilly ride follows the spine of the Tramuntana range on the remote pristine western side of Mallorca. (Keep in mind that tomorrow’s routes are even tougher so save some energy! Start out by pedalling along narrow, well-paved roads—dedicated bike routes—into the countryside past picturesque farmland, windmills and dry stone walls. The road will bring you until Lluc, Lluc is more than a sanctuary, it is a secular national symbol, is an unexpected oasis of tranquillity, of spirituality (the religious celebrations and choir), of artistic heritage (the Museum), of unspoilt countryside (the Tramuntana mountains and the Botanic Garden), and of Mallorcan cuisine (in our restaurants). Then you will continue until Sóller, biking near the reservoirs of Gorg Blau and Cúber.

Day 4 | Campanet-Soller (57km)

This loop is a beautiful cycle ride, exiting Sóller via the Coll den Bleda, this 57km route takes the coastal road West to the artists town of Deià. The route then moves inland towards the pretty town of Valldemossa, a great cafe stop. The route descends rapidly out of Valldemossa, then turns back north for the climb of the Coll de Sóller back to Sóller town. The route packs in more than 1,000m of climbing, so is a great workout without spending all day in the saddle. The Coll de Soller is famous for its 61 hairpin bends.
