Day 1Split Arrival: optional 20 km or 80 km bike tour

Upon your arrival in Split this morning, you will meet our representative for an orientation about the tour, receive your bikes, learn the most important sites to see, and receive dining suggestions. We will get your bike fitted to you over a welcome drink of local origin, of course! We will also go over the bike routes, various options available, and the ferry transfer schedules.

Free time in Split should be set aside for the Diocletian’s Palace, now recognized on UNESCO’s World heritage list. The locals have their homes molded in the old walls of the Palace and inside of it, you will find numerous cafes and restaurants serving fresh Mediterranean food! In front of the Palace, you may enjoy an evening walk along its beautiful waterfront promenade. Depending on your arrival and if time allows, you can enjoy an easy, car-free 20 km bike ride.

Note: Your tour orientation needs to be this morning or early in the afternoon. We recommend arriving a day in advance in order to best enjoy this first day of your tour!

Day 2Coastal Cycling on the Island of Brac: 35 km or 80 km

Today, you set off for the island of Brač, the largest and highest of all the central Dalmatian islands. Known for its dramatic landscapes and rich cultural heritage, Brač offers a wide variety of cycling routes to suit every rider. Choose from scenic coastal roads, challenging climbs that reach up to 780 meters, or tranquil paths through inland villages and towns. Along the way, you can explore local art galleries, enjoy authentic meals at charming restaurants, and even visit traditional stone masonry workshops or the renowned stone mason school—an institution that reflects Brač’s centuries-old craftsmanship. No matter which route you take, you’ll be rewarded with stunning views and peaceful rides through olive groves and vineyards. After a full day of exploration, return to Split for a relaxing evening by the sea.

Day 3Cycling the Lavender Trail on Island Hvar: 20-48 km

After your scenic ferry ride from Split to Hvar, we recommend starting the day with a relaxed morning bike tour around the UNESCO-listed site of Stari Grad. This ancient Greek colony, founded in 400 B.C., offers a rich tapestry of history and charm. As you cycle through the area, you’ll pass by beautifully preserved historical landmarks, quaint villages, lush gardens, olive groves, and stretches of coastline that feel almost magical. For the afternoon ride, take the iconic route through Hvar’s famed lavender fields—a road often described as one of the most beautiful in Croatia. This stunning path leads you to the vibrant town of Hvar, with panoramic views and fragrant breezes accompanying you along the way.

Several ride options are available to suit different preferences and energy levels, ranging from shorter, leisurely loops to more extended routes for those seeking a bit more adventure.

Day 4Cycling the Island of Korcula: 46 km or 55 km

After your speedboat transfer to Korčula Island, your cycling journey begins with a scenic 46-kilometer ride to the historic town of Korčula. The island has been inhabited since well before ancient Greek times, and you’ll spot traces of its rich past along the way. During the medieval period, the Venetians recognized its strategic beauty and built a fortified city on the northern shore—what is now the stunning walled Old Town of Korčula, remarkably preserved and nearly intact for centuries. This enchanting town will be your home for the next two nights. As you explore the island’s southern coast, enjoy breathtaking views of secluded beaches and hidden coves. Ride through charming villages and hamlets, and take time to stop at a few of the island’s beloved konoba (traditional taverns), where you’ll savor delicious, locally prepared dishes that reflect the heart of Dalmatian cuisine.

For your final ride, you’ll be cruising along the breathtaking Pelješac Peninsula, a region known for its dramatic coastal landscapes and world-class vineyards. The full cycling route offers an immersive experience through the renowned Dingac and Postup wine regions, home to Plavac Mali vines—a close cousin to California’s Zinfandel and Calabria’s Primitivo. Along the way, you’ll have the opportunity to visit several local wineries and enjoy tastings that reflect the rich viticultural heritage of the area. As you ride, take in the stunning views: the islands of Mljet and Korčula to your right, and the mainland stretching out to your left. The terrain includes a mix of rolling hills, coastal stretches, and vineyard-lined roads.

Your final cycling destination is the historic village of Ston, where you’ll be transferred to Dubrovnik. Built in the 14th century, Ston is famed for its salt production and boasts the longest fortified walls in Europe—spanning an impressive 5.5 kilometers. Once a key stronghold of the powerful Dubrovnik Republic, Ston offers a fascinating glimpse into the region’s medieval past.

For those seeking a more relaxed pace, shorter ride options of approximately 24 or 36 kilometers are available.
