The onsite staff were delightful, the apps worked well and the accommodations were lovely. I loved having a variety of small and large towns to visit. We will definitely use Pure Adventures again in the future.
Thank you so much for your help and guidance in planning our amazing bike trip to Portugal. We had a great time, and the itinerary, communication, and planning were flawless.
Some of the highlights and a few tips (for me) were as follows: Definitely download the Ride with GPS app, and it’s wise to bring the recommended battery/power source. I kept my Ride with GPS on as I rode, and my battery was depleted.
I really liked our accommodations at the monastery. The tile walls, the view, and the food were amazing.
I bought a Camelbak to carry sun tan lotion, an extra battery, protein bars, and water, and it was a huge help!
I thought the bikes were really nice and up-to-date, even though my daughter’s bike dropped its chain a time or two. I appreciate how your bike technician came to our resort to fix my daughter’s bike even when it was late at night.
Your tour guides who picked us up in Lisbon were great! They were friendly, informative, and explained everything well. I look forward to booking another adventure with you soon.
This was our first bike trip done without a guide and it went way smoother than my wife and I expected. No issues with nav or support, bikes good. Portugal is awesome. If you like biking, wine, really cool hotels, and amazing food this is the trip for you.
The Milton-Humpheries family gives this tour 5 STARS!!! This trip was much awaited after covid cancellations 2 times! We took our adult-aged children and their partners as a celebration for my husband’s 60th birthday. The accommodations were really nice and we felt that it was the perfect amount of biking for a family that cycles regularly. We aren’t bike snobs, but we do enjoy getting out there. What a great way to see Portugal. Only suggestion is an extra day in Evora. We will be back!
Algarve is great! Loved the food, wine, and routes were enough of a challenge to feel like we earned all of those cals but not too exhausting, either! Hotels were really nice and we appreciated not having to sort out all of the details ourselves. We have taken two tours with Pure Adventures – this one and Catalonia. Excellent support with both bike tours but still enough freedom. Maybe next time France??
