We’ve spent decades sourcing new cycling and hiking tour destinations – helping our travellers explore areas of the world they wouldn’t normally get to experience. On that note, we’re pretty excited to introduce a new cycling tour in Quebec Canada!
Believe it or not, our neighbours to the north have much to offer than just a charismatic Prime Minister and pure maple syrup. Quebec has some of the best trails anywhere in the world and our new tour will take you through some of the over 2500 miles (or if we’re talking canuck – 4000km) of trails there are to discover.
Take a closer look at what you’ll get on our Canada – Quebec Bike Tour!
Canada – Quebec Bike Tour
The Saguenay Lac Saint-Jean region is well known for its legendary hospitality, but also for is world-class bike trails. The Véloroute des Bleuets and Route Verte are among the most popular bike tours in Quebec. The region is a vast playground for visitors and the bike trails offer spectacular access to Lake Saint-Jean, the third largest lake in Quebec, and the Saguenay Fjord which is considered one of the longest in the world at 120 km in length. The well organized and marked network of 350 km of cycling trails allows cyclists to admire the beauty of lots of beaches, lakes, rivers, and traditional Quebecois villages as they ride. With so many delicious local products to taste along the trails, such as fresh artisan cheeses, wild blueberries, and locally brewed beers, stops along the way are a must! Extra perks along the trails include: lots of fascinating tourism sites and attractions, a wide variety of quality accommodations and restaurants.
This self guided tour is a ‘road cycling’ trip that can also be accomplished by hybrid bike too, the entire ride is on paved roads. Much of the cycling is on bicycle paths, and the accommodations are adapted for cyclists. Any date from May 15 to October 15 is available, subject to availability. The best season is June 20 – Sept 10.
